Exhaust, pt. 2 (cats)

Posting here since the performance section had my thread go unanswered for a long time.

Ok, so I've decided on the 3" magnaflow catback, now I'm gonna get a high-flow cat along with it. Searching ebay I found...

Catco

Carsound/Magnaflow

Narrowed down to these two, just have to pick one. I did some seraching around camarov6.com, I don't need the o2 bung or air tube so I won't be worrying about those. The Catco is an F-body cat and looks to have a hanger on the side, whereas the Magnaflow is a universal type. Just want some input, on which brand would be the better bet.

I'm not sure what you're looking for in a cat-back system, but it's been my experience that Magnaflow systems don't sound very good.

Re: Exhaust, pt. 2 (cats)

if you have to pass emissions, dont gut the cat. I am running a catco converter on my IROC, it was a no brainer install, and sounds better than it did with a strait pipe exhaust system.
