A little spring thingy on clutch and brake pedal.

I was just wondering i was checking out my clutch height ajustment thing and i noticed i had a spring thing that was hooked up to my clutch and brake pedal and it looks like it pulls them both up to the floor so i was wondering if thats how they were stock cause you guys said a symptom of CW is your pedal staying down on the floor well if that spring is there how could it? so i was just wondering.

Yes the springs are there from the factory, and they dont provide a lot of pull they just assist a bit and make sure the pedal is always all the way up. Had a friend of mine that took his off the clutch because it was making noise, didnt hurt anything and the pedal will still release all the way.

Re: A little spring thingy on clutch and brake pedal.

Funny thing about the 2g though. The way the clutch pedal is, once you get down about half way, or maybe 2/3rds, the sping will pull the pedal DOWN. Anyone that has bled the clutch can attest to this. Not sure if the 1g is the same way, cant remember the last 1g clutch I bled. But Reager is correct, its to keep the weight of the pedal from "riding" the clutch/brake.
