Fuel Injector Installation

I was wondering if anybody on this forum has removed and installed fuel injectors on a 2.2L Engine in a cavalier? If so, I want to know any tips or special reminders to keep in mind during the removal and installation. thanks a lot!

Re: Fuel Injector Installation

Just replaced O-rings on #2 & #3 injectors on my 96 Cav 2.2 last night. Don't make the mistake like I did (when use the screwdriver to pry out the bottom-feed injector) and dropping 1 injector under the intake in front of the coil pack... I couldn't get it out and luckily I have 2 spare ones and it is left there now

Relieve the fuel pressure by idling your car and pull the fuel pump relay until the car stalls...

You have to oil the O-ring before you can insert the injector if you have the bottom-feed type...

I am still cursing myself not being able to retrieve my dropped injector...
