Unhappy 1997 grand am problems... help please

my car was running fine then one day my engine light came on and when it is in park you can feel it start to shake. the part that is shaking is where my spark plugs are. i changed the plugs once all ready and it stopped but now it is shaking again. also when i push the gas pelal i have to all most peel out to go other wise if i slitly push gas it starts to kill. and while sitting a red lights it starts to heat up alot.

please help me...

i took it in and had the fule injection sys cleaned and it did not work so far. so anyone with suggestions please email me...

First of all what size engine do you have? Take the car to Autozone and have them scan the computer to see what codes are present and post them here. This will give us some information so we can help you diagnose your car.

I'm not sure what engine you have, Quad4 engine usually has a problem with the Ignition Coil Housing going bad $60 and fixes most ignition problem.
Possible culprit is the ignition coil or the ignition coil module.

Definitely, have your computer scanned if you can bring the vehicle to Autozone. It will narrow down the problem.
