change engine oil light

I recently had my oil changed at Wal-Mart b/c I havn't had the time, getting ready to be deployed to Cuba, but my message board still says change oil soon, or somthing like that. Just wondering do I have to get it erased by a decoder??? Pretty sure I do but I just wanted to ask.

Yes you do and the way you do that is put the ignition in the run position no not start and press the gas pedal 3 times. The change oil light will blink and you should be good to go.

Re: change engine oil light

To be a bit more precise; put the key in run and press the gas pedal to the floor 3 times in 5 seconds.
