?!?!Problem?!?!

ok here is the deal.... im not sure the cause of this but .....

If your in neutral or driving and drive the car between 2500 and 3000rpm there is kinda like a clicking noise.... i can hear it better if im parked and rev in neutral b/c of course no wind noise..

i heard awhile back that someone thought they threw a rod b/c of the sound but it turnd out to be just his cluth.... im thinking my cluth doesnt have to many miles left on it so im hopeing that may be the problem..

ANY IDEAS???

Re: ?!?!Problem?!?!

how loud is the clicking? is it a click or a knock? and does it stay with engine RPM's or is it random?

Re: ?!?!Problem?!?!

its a loud click.... and can only hear it if you rev past 2500 rpm and you cant hear it if you stay above 3000 rpm

Re: Re: ?!?!Problem?!?!

Its possible its an exhaust leak. But at the same time I have heard that knock is most prevalent at 3000 rpms.
