97 Trans Sport Rear Power Window Intermittent Operation

Sometimes one or both the rear quarter panel power windows will open on my 97 Trans Sport and sometimes not. There's no consistancy in which side malfunctions. The problem seems worse in the winter. Until yesterday when one window stuck closed, the other open there was no problem closing the window(s). Now neither window works. I checked the overhead console switch which tested fine with an ohm meter. I also jumped the connections at the wiring harness going into the switch assembly but there seems to be no power getting to the window motors. Anybody have any suggestions on how I can get these working again?

Hey Proteks, thanks for the reply. I'd totally agree if it was one window motor acting up all the time but when they each work sometimes and not others I tend to think this might be temperature or moisture related some where in the wiring. With my luck though both motors could be shot and I'd really believe that if I saw more postings of similar problems. This has been going on with my Trans Sport for 4 years now. I'd like to test the voltage at the motors and would if I knew how to get the trim work off to get at them. If it does end up being the motors that are the problem, I think I'll just leave the windows closed considering the price of replacement. Any further comments would be appreciated. Does anyone know if the motors can be repaired?
