I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 it now has 85,000 miles on it and I have had to replace the front wheel bearings 3 times over the past year n' at $200 a pop I'm not too pleased with that. Over that period of time I have put about 6,000 miles on it so it hasn't been driven a whole lot. Anyone else out there havin' this problem? Thanks!

Does your truck have factory recommended size tires and rims? Look on drivers door jam and info should be there. If somebody put large tires and wheels with wrong offset on your truck, thats hard on wheel bearings.

Re: 2001 Ram 1500 wheel bearings
2 wheel drive? Try www.chryslerpartsdirect.com or Carquest Auto Parts. The Carquest guy has been able to order certain parts that aren't normally stocked. Don't know about the wheel bearings, though. As with chryslerpartsdirect, some parts are cheaper but others you get hosed about the same.
