Neuspeed Race springs VS. H&R Race springs

which would you recommend for a '97 integ? both lower 2"F / 1.75"R which is a better brand? will either on sag over time? what do you think of these with tokico blues? (only cuz i dun have the $$ for koni yellows )

Hmm, I'll toss this out in the hopes that it may help you. I had found a site that list's the spring rates for H&R, Neuspeed, Eibach and suspension techniques. Catch is they are rates for the 90-93 teg. I became interested, because years ago H&R used to make the Neuspeed spring line. So quite a few people figured that Neuspeed and H&R are actually the same spring. I called H&R and they say that's not true, that the rates are different between them and Neuspeed. The rates I found, while for a different car than I drive, did confirm that Neuspeed and H&R do not share the same spring rates. As an example.

Neuspeed Race springs Front 500lbs Rear 450lbs
H&R Race springs Front 400lbs Rear 285lbs

You can call Neuspeed and they will tell you the spring rates for their springs for your teg. But H&R flat out will not tell you.

With spring rates as stiff as those used with these race springs, you would not be happy with Tokico blue's. They will not have the dampening to deal with such stiff springs. Use Koni sports or Bilstein sports or pick a softer spring.

Personally I'd prefer the Neuspeed spring for it's higher rear rate, giving less understeer.

Lower. The higher the rate the stiffer the spring.

So a spring that's rated at 500 will be stiffer than a spring rated at 320.

i hear that h&r are better in handling..but thats just what i hear. and btw dont go with tokico blues. at least stick with the illuminas they way better!

I have them too man with neuspeed koni yellows, it's a nice combo.

did you ever drive with the neuspeed springs on stock shocks? and later got your koni's. if so, did the koni's smooth out the ride at all?

this is one of the, if not best, combo next to full coilovers.

I have the Neuspeed Sport spring on my 93 civic coupe, and I didn't put my shocks on right away, and I had never lowered my car before, but to me I could barel tell the difference from stock ride quality. It was nothing extreme, and when I put on my bec techs it stll stayed the same.

Ride and handling pretty much suck with stock shocks. I was on my stockers for 6 months. Yes the yellows calm them down, the ride can still be a little bouncy at times but it's not too bad. Handling is very nice with this combo. You would be hard pressed to find a "true" coilover that can match it for around the same price. I have $700 in my spring and shock combo.
