My cavalier ticks

First of all, this pisses me off, because I have a 2004.
I expected better from Chevrolet.

I've narrowed it down though, it only does it when the A/C is on. It seems to come from behind the glove box somewhere, I'm not sure why it does it, but it does. Anyone know what's going on?

Re: My cavalier ticks

When my wife bought the 96 Cav LS in 96, it ticks "loudly" when the AC is on after 5 mintues or so (only on the re-circulating mode and not when we push the AC button). I don't remember if she took it back to the dealership or not; and we lived with the problem by not using the re-circulating mode... And guess what, some time around 2002 (7-8 years later) when I started to drive the car, the problem is gone. I can use the AC without the harse ticking.

BTW, our ticks sounded like to vent/trap door is hitting fan blade. Very rapid & loud and only after 5 minutes or so when AC is on the re-circulating mode...

Re: My cavalier ticks

could be the fan in the blower motor. If its under warranty take it to your gm dealer and have them fix it
