When I press the button to spray wiper fluid on the windshield nothing happens. The wipers still work but no fluid comes out. The weird thing is that if I press the button 5 or 6 times really hard it will eventually squirt fluid. I don't think its the motor or anything like that. Do you guys think it might be the switch itself or something else?
Any ideas would be apreciated. Thanx |

Re: 2000 wiper jets
Is the 2000 design the same as the '99, where the jets are mounted on the wiper arms rather than on the hood? If so, in cold weather, they tend to freeze up because they get lots of cold wind and no heat from the engine hits them to warm them up. If it's been very cold where you live, that's a possibility. There could also be something plugging the line. It's fairly easy to trace the line from the jets all the way back to the pump.

Re: 2000 wiper jets
The jets are on the wiper arm but they can't be frozen. I usually park it in my heated garage over night.
As for something blocking the line, I'd have to check. |

Re: 2000 wiper jets
When you press the button and no fluid comes out, can you hear the pump running?
