I have a 1993 SC2 coupe with 1.9 DOHC and need help. Bout 2 months ago the motor siezed up due to timing chain breaking. Well a guy had a 1997 1.9 DOHC and he said it would bolt up with a few mods. The mods were EGR valve mods and tempature gauge wire. Well know i am having problems with the car running. The car runs extemly HOT! and if you drive the car then shut it off then go to start it right back up it won't start!!! it cranks like it wants too but wont! Then if you let it cool down to cold cold it will start up liek nothing happened! What could this be??? Need to get computer from 1997 car or soemthing? or just go buy a 1993 motor???
I NEED HELP!!!!!!!

EMAIL ME IF YOU CAN HELP PLEASE [email protected]

Yea i got alll the spark plug wires in the right spot. Would the engine not run due to the age of the computer and age of the motor? like the 93 computer runs a OB1 and the 97 engien runs the obII? do i have big problems? would bad coil packs do this?

Re: Need Help Bad Please!!!!

Why do you say the car runs extremely hot? The one difference that immediately comes to mind is the 93 had 2 coolant temp sensors. The 97 has one. How did you resolve this difference? YOU NEED TO BE SURE YOUR COOLING SYSTEM IS OPERATING PROPERLY. Is the fan coming on? At what temp?

If all is well then djgdjg has a good suggestion.
