Starter motor on '89...............

works great when the engine is cold. But when the engine is hot, it barely will turn over. Any one got any ideas, or had this problem before?

Re: Starter motor on '89...............

I've seen that before on old cars where guys put headers on, and after awhile the starter would get too warm to function because the exhaust ran right beside it.

I don't know what the problem is in your case though.
