This is kind of an odd request. The last Mark VII was produced in 1992. At first I thought by the subject line that you were trying to figure out if it is better to buy a Mark VII or a Mark VIII, which of course is not the case. Having owned both, 2 Mark VII's and 3 Mark VIII's, I found that to be an interesting question. I love the Mark VIII but the best car we ever owned was a 1988 Mark VII. These vintage cars do come up on Ebay and some have surprisingly low mileage.

These cars can be a remarkable bargain, nobody knows how great a car they are and they are tremendously undervalued, in my opinion. There is a gorgeous 1998 Pearl White, loaded with 47Kmiles on Ebay right now (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW), that looks like it will go for about $8K, if that was a Toyota Avalon it would be $12K and in my opinion the Avalon isn't a 10th the car the Mark is. If I was to buy something like that over the net, I would have it brought to a Lincoln dealer and have a check and advise done. Will cost you about $100, but well worth the money. If you buy that one and your looking for matching OEM Mark VIII floor mats let me know.

I have been tracking some of the cars on Ebay just to see what things are going for. I guess Ebay may be a realistic look at what people are willing to pay for a certain vehicle. These are 97 - 98's.

This car or anything like it will never be produced again by Lincoln, the new Mark X is a Thunderbird convertible Clone. Which makes my 98 even more valuable to me and a few others, very few.

I am excited, summer is approaching, pulled her out had new tires, brakes, tranny flush and ready to ride. Geeezzzee it felt good to drive a real car again.

I have agree about the 88. Im currently driving one (bill blass), now has 130k miles on it and it has been a VERY dependable car.

The 5.O in it bone dry. I wouldn't mind finding a later model of one.

I have an immaculate 1987 Mk VII that came from Sacramento two yrs. ago. Unusual car...all black, chrome deleted, BBS wheels. It has 162,000 on it and still runs & drives like a new one. Great car!
