Re: rear speakers crossovers factory amp?

There may not be a "crossover", is there a small black round thing attatched to the terminals on the four inch? If so this is a inline filter - only allows certain frequencies to pass.

Re: rear speakers crossovers factory amp?

the 6x9's only play low freqs, if you want to add a x-over and 3 ways use the wire from the 4" speaker instead. the 4"s get full range(minus the attn from the HU itself). Which HU do you have? 7band or BOSE(2 band slider)

Re: rear speakers crossovers factory amp?

while we're on the subject of speakers, i've been thinking about replacing mine, but keeping the factory HU. It's non-bose. What's the max wattage I should get if I want the best sound from front and rear component speakers?

Re: rear speakers crossovers factory amp?

for the aftermarket speakers you want a low RMS and a high sensitivity. the stock HU pumps out ~12WRMS.

Re: rear speakers crossovers factory amp?

I replaced my rear speakers with 3-ways. No one told me I needed an amp when they were purchased and installed. But obviously i do. Is there some rewiring that could help this problem rather than paying for an amp?

Re: rear speakers crossovers factory amp?

does anyone have the wiring diagram? you wouldnt need an amp if you could eliminate the iinline crossovers
