I have a 1994 4.3 vortec W, I just noticed I have a cable missing from the throttle body valve. Haynes calls it a TV cable. It is located just below the cruise control cable. I can't find it and I have no idea what a TV cable is. I looked all through the book and couldn't find anything else on it. Does anyone know what it is or what it controls?????

Re: Tv Cable
Throttle Valve Cable. Goes between the accelerator linkage and the valve body of the transmission to let the trans know where the throttle is to adjust shift points. Newer transmissions are computer controlled. No need for cable.

Re: Tv Cable
Yip, if you have a electronic tranny, no need for it.
