Re: how much is this worth?

Well, tough to say. Cost obviously depends on the market, what people are willing to pay. But there are other things to look at.

To research the car, hit up the following web sites
www.traderonline.com
www.cars-on-line.com
www.ebay.com
never NEVER NEVER buy a car online, but they are a great place to find similar cars and get a feel for pricing and find out how certain options influence price. It also depends on where you are in the country, and how bad the people want to get rid of it. I got my RS camaro, in great condition for 3500 bucks. and put 1500 into it, and got my IROC in poor, but driveable shape for 2300 bucks, and put 4500 into it (thus far *groan*) but i know guys that buy them for 5000 bucks and others that get them for a few hundred.

Now in your case, you need to question the fact that it dosnt have the original motor. No third gen had a 350 until 87, so they pulled the factory engine at some point and put a 350 in it. You need to know if the car was originally a carbed engine, meaning that its probly fine, or if it was a computer controlled engine from the factory, you need to know what kind of job they did on getting around the electronics. There are litteraly infinate possibilities as far as what can go wrong when it comes to electrical gremlins. and shadetree mechanics breed them. (the gremlins that is) so know the car and what you are getting into. Obviously take the car for a drive and check it out first hand, if at all possible put it on a lift and look at its guts.

hope this helps, welcome to the forum and feel free to ask for more help.

Re: how much is this worth?

Thanks man, I live in Nova Scotia Canada. A few months ago i bought a Camaro from my girlfriends father . It had the stock 2.8LV6, but it came with a carbrated 305 to swap with. Its a nice car, but no body kit of any type. So in the back of my mind i was thinking of finding a 350 instead of the 305, and a kit from an iroc or rs. For the winter i'm driving a Honda Civic, and a friend of mine told me that this guy would trade for the iroc because he wanted a 4 cylinder, so i thought it was a good deal, but now he needs money because hes moving . So if i bought the car i would have a 350, duel exhaust already done, a body kit and other parts i need now, or will need in the future. However i'm not looking to spend like 1500 on a kit and engine, so thats why i was wondering how much you thought it was worth.

Don't get me wrong i do want the car, i just liked the idea for trading my honda for it better then borrowing money to buy it.
