Re: tire question!

I wanted my tires to push a little outside the fender wells to give it that performance look so I'm running a 17x8 wheel with a Goodyear F1's size
225/55/17 which is a little taller and wider but look awsome. Regardless of which size you put on, make sure you buy from a shop that specializes in aftermaket wheels and tires; not someplace like Sears. Also, have them do a test fit first to make sure the tires you selected don't rub against the wheel well.

Re: tire question!

Well seeing that you are from Kansas. You'll have to have an all season tires. That will take you away from most high speed tires. Most are junk in the snow. Plus, till they warm up, they ride like they have stones in them.
I'd get these

Re: Re: tire question!

Don't want the tires outside the finders. Then you are chipping the paint off your car. And I don't think you want mud flaps on a GP, do you?

Re: tire question!

I have Pirelli PZero 235/55 for my 17x7. This size keeps the tire height the same as stock, does not alter the speedo, and fills up the wheel well nicely.

But, they are NOT outside the finder right?

Re: tire question!

When I said earlier that my tires pushed a little outside the fenders, what I meant was my Goodyear F1's have a built in rim guard which makes the width of them come to the edge but still remains within the fender wells. The tires don't actually stick outside the fenders and I certainly don't want it to look like a low rider pickup. Anyone who's familiar with wheels and tires knows what I meant and I thought that was implied.

Mine rims are 17x8 with 225/55/17 tires. They fill the wheel well nicely. The tires are Yokohama H4S. I used to have 245/50/17's and they rubbed on the back when I went over a dip in the road with passengers in the back seat.
