Re: brakes- agitating
Probably your abs needs bleeding too or the ABS is failing. When our vehicle ABS light came on after a sudden braking (full stop with wheels turned lightly), the ABS light stayed ON all the time. I just disconnected the ABS wire connectors and disconnected the battery cable for the whole night and reconnected at the following day and so far no more ABS light.

Re: brakes- agitating
In addition to the ABS needing bled you may need to replace the power brake booster. It may have gone bad.

Re: brakes- agitating
One way to test a brake booster is start the engine and let it IDLE and then disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose and try to press the brake pedal. If the brake pedal becomes harder to push then the brake booster is fine.
Also, when I replace master cylinder, I usually use two large brake fluid just for bleeding. I use a clear hose with a clear bottle to bleed the brakes which allows me to see if there are still some bubbles on the line and continue until there are no more bubbles. Usually takes 6-7 full pumps on the brake peda. |

Re: brakes- agitating
Well, i've now done almost everything to the brake system of my car it seems, but yet the brake peddle still reaches the floor. I've gone and replaced the booster and bled the abs. The only time the brakes want to work for me is when the wheel is turned or going up a hill. I give up!!! But thanks for the advise people, i appreciate it.

Re: brakes- agitating
Check the line going to the booster. It has a one way check valve. If the valve is bad there will be no boost and the brakes won't work correctly. This is the last thing I can think of that may be causing your problem.
