Fosgate Subs and new amp.. kenwood amp blew?

I just got 2 12" fosgate p2 and a fosgate p3002 amp today. Dam these shit pound on my car haah. Well the problem is, my kenwood amp KAC-5201 is either blown or not powerd up. I had Audio Express do all the work since circuit city charged me too much. Do u guys think my kenwood amp is dead (its only like 2 months old) or do u guys think i should bring it back to audio express and let them check it out? I checked the kenwood amp plugs and everything seemed fine but i dont see the light on.

The fuses look funny.. il send u a pic of how it looks like when i edit.

EDIT: heres the link to the fuse (its the blue thing that has 15 on it)

its too dark out now to see if my fuse is blown but i hope it is the fuse cause those things are cheap.

It will be burned open between the two legs of the fuse. Maybe even black.

You should, but that doesn't mean you will.

Re: Fosgate Subs and new amp.. kenwood amp blew?

audio is seriously one of the easiest things to fix yourself. Plus if you learn to do it yourself you'll save money down the road when you upgrade and so on.

Just fix it your self. The amp kit fuse should be between the battery and the firewall. Connected to a wire coming directly from the battery.

Re: Fosgate Subs and new amp.. kenwood amp blew?

Ok my friend took a look at my amp and he said "its gotta be the fuse". he unpluged the fuse from the amp and looked at it.... its still in new condition. Afterwards he pluged it back in and i turned on the power and BAM! the amp is runing smoothly. This was wierd.. i guess it wasnt pluged in all the way the first time. Thanks alot guys.

Re: Fosgate Subs and new amp.. kenwood amp blew?

OMG! today after school i was cruisen home and then out of nowhere my subs and speakers went out. I got out of the car, open the trunk, then saw the sub box disconnected from the amp. So then i pluged everything back in and now the kenwood amp wont work anymore. I took it to Audio express and they said that there was an internal problem and it would cost 90$ for a new amp. WTF!!! i barely got the amp 2-3 months ago and the kenwood warranty says that i have 1 yr of their limited warranty. Should i buy that new amp or just complain to Kenwood and try to get a replacement amp? I dont think i have to pay for a new amp since i did not touch any wires or uninstalled anything.

Re: Fosgate Subs and new amp.. kenwood amp blew?

I tried that today.. they said "either go with a 90$ new amp or just leave as is and go home." dam wtf, they installed the amp and sub and speakers so how come it aint working. They should at least fix the amp for me.

did you fill out your warranty card and everything? ask to talk to the manager. be polite but make sure that they know you want THEM to fix the problem
