87 Auto tranny in 4th gen???

Will an 87 civic d series tranny work in a 88-91 civic hatch. I know it will bolt up, but will it work with the ecu and shift linkage and stuff??

The mounts are different on an 87. I really doubt you could make it work.

ya, I was all worried about the wiring that I completely forgot about the mounts -

ya i looked into putting an 87 tranny onto a 4g and the mounts are not even close. it wont bolt up. are you lookin for an auto tranny? i may have one ill have to look.
