Steering
I was just wondering if you were able to convert a 1991 mr-2 with power steering into rack and pinion steering. If you can how much would it cost? Thanx for answering.

I converted Hyde to manual steering from power sterring last year.
You need the rack, the knuckle and the lower steering column. I bought the furst two pieces used and the lower steering column was $70 from the dealer new.

How much did you buy the first two pieces for, even though they were used? And also, is this something I could do on my own?

I actually didn't buy them, I swapped my P/S pieces for them.
As far as difficulty goes, I have no idea. My mechanic did this particular job for me. I do believe there was some minro cutting of the bottom of the front trunk needed. The racks come through at slightly different places.
