This should help, I ordered a new alternator bracket to convert to a chevy alternator. They were very helpful. Based in Texas if I recall properly.

Recently intalled 93 chevy fuel injected 350 w/700R4 into my 85 XJ6. If you have the ability and time, it is an enjoyable profect.

Re: engine swap
John Mags gave you the right advice - John's Cars of Dallas, Texas is the best. I never swapped in a Chdvy but I bought lots of factory parts for half price plus got his improved poly bushings for the front end and steering rack that worked great.
There is also a shop in Carson, California called Jags Services that does excellent turnkey swaps as well as regular Jag maintenance at astonishing prices. About 7 years ago they replaced the brake p[ads at all 4 wheels for $100. |
