Question turn signals/hazzards inop

What am I missing? I have checked and replaced the fuse. I have checked the bulbs. I have just replaced the hazzard and turn signal flasher relays. What else is there? the switch? how can just the turn signals go bad? (outside of the fact that they get used more than any other item on that lever). I am a little freaky about getting into steering columns and air bags etc. Any idea what it would cost to have it repaired at an auto shop? I know the part cost is between 165.00 and 250.00 but what about labor? For those who responded to my previous post thank you. everything else is fixed!

Re: turn signals/hazzards inop

You sure you checked and replaced the right fuse?

Not sure what year your truck is, but there was a recall in 2002 for faulty multifunction switches that caused failing hazzard lights/stop lights. 01073A JUL 02 Recall - Hazard/Stop Lamps Inoperative

how many are there?

I have checked all that seem to apply to the situation and everything else is working with the exception of the turnsignals and the hazards. Got any wisdom?

I'm leaning to replacing the multifuntion turn signal switch. The lever and knob for the 4 ways are all one piece if I'm not mistaken. When I had mine done under recall I know the lever was new and so was the button for the four ways.
