98 blazer extremly rough idle

i was on a date tonight and while i was coming home. the check engine light popped on. i wasn't speeding or doing anything.. i was going like 68 or something.. um.. only thing that could have pushed the car was i hit a deep puddel and it shot alot of water to the side. the roads were slightly wet on the freeway when the light popped on. and the puddle was like a half hour earlier. but it popped on and i didn't notice anything.. then once i got off the freeway and stopped the car idled rough.. it was shakin pretty crazy.. so i was about 1/2 mile to a friends house. i pulled in and then went to check my oil soon after. noticed that it was low. so got some oil for it. it was below the operating line. and now its over on the dip stick. and the car still ran rough after like an hour of sitting there.. a friend who owns a blazer and is a machanic said it might be spark plugs... wondering if anyone had any idea if what it could be.. tried for a couple hours to get some info but can't really find anything too detailed as to my problem.. help would be awesome

You really need to get the codes if you ses light is on...if there is an autozone near by they will do it for free...we can help you once you have the code, codes available..

Yip, codes need to be read.

Guarantee you got something wet that you shouldn't have.

Avoid puddles, don't drive you truck at high speeds through them.
