tune up explorer on regular basis

do that and they should run pretty good. Parents got over 400thou kilometers out of theirs. But alot of it was highway driving too. A person should take and explorer on a highway drive occassionaly and also put in some premimum gas the odd time.

Re: tune up explorer on regular basis

I have had the fuel injectors and throttle body cleaned out and then I changed the plugs on my 2001 sport trac with 68,000 origional miles on the engine. I am concerned that the oil pressure gauge does't show pressure normal until the engine has been running after a minute or two after being off over night. but during the daytime this isnt a problem. should I be concerned about the oil pump or some thing else. I would appriciate a reply. thank you

Re: tune up explorer on regular basis

I had the same oil pressure problem on my 2001 Explorer Sport. A new oil pressure sending unit solved the problem.
