Question 94-95 Integra Question

Sup guys, I'm new to the forums. I thought this would be a good place to learn because I'm damn near clueless when it comes to cars in general. Anyways, I've heard a lot about the 94-95 Integras being more tuner friendly because it has OBDI. Is it really THAT much more tunable? How much of a problem would it be if I had a Teg with OBDII and what could I do about it?

Integs around 94-99 are all pretty much tunable, as for the obDII, there are certain companies that can help modify it make it run better. I cant think of any right now but i'll be sure to post the names when i remember? are you searching for a new car?

Yea I'm searching for my first car actually. Just have always had a taste for the 3rd gen Tegs. Even if I modify OBDII would it be better to still have OBDI? I just wanna know if it really matters all that much. And another question: Does anyone know where and how much I could get the 98 front lip and bumper? How about the JDM ones with different lights?

as for the 98+ bumper, you probably have to go to acrura or go to a junk yard. If you are lucky you might find one in good shape. Lots of people are doing front conversions these days too so go to your local rocket shop and see if there are people you are getting a front body kit or somthing, and buy the 98 front off from them. As for the lip www.comptechusa.com makes real good copy of the factory lips (the kind of ITRs), cost around 200$ and needs paint. A while ago acura was trying to empty out their inventory, and there were selling the factory ground effects (which includes lip, side skits and rear pieces) for as low a 600$ and they come painted. So go the parts department at acura and ask. I bought the lip and the side skirts, and installed for 500$ acouple of months ago.

what little i know about OBD2 is that is a lttle tougher to retard or advance the timming. You might also consider the fact that the obd2 uses 2 O2 sensors instead of one.

I think the OBDI is better to work with and plus 94-95 Is the best year for the integras, especially the GSR because it's the lightest.

i think its a big pain in the ass using an obdII engine in a obdI car, there are way more sensors but you can get wiring harnesses for that. go to the 92+ civic section and read the obdI obdII thread in the honda performace faq sticky.
