A/C is on when front window defrost selected.

On a lot of cars now, if you have your front window defrost selected or defrost/front floor, the A/C will automatically be on, regardless of the switch selection for the A/C. It is supposed to make defrosting more effective, but I don't like that. And I want to fix it somehow.
If anyone knows how, please let me know.

If you don't need you air conditioning, you can remove the connector from the air conditioner compressor and tie it out of the way. It is advisable to run your a/c once in a while at any time of the year to keep the seals lubricated.
