tribal focus

well i haven't been here in a while. i guess its because i haven't drawn a car in a loooong time. ive been working on a portfolio so ive been doing a lot of other things. i decided to do this to get back into my fisrt love.

its the car on the main page of www.focaljet.com (the other forum ive been hanging out at). the car belongs to a member on there with the screen name "tribalfocus". he was kind enough to let me draw his car.

its-
prisma marker
colored pencil
chalk
white paint
pencil
..and not finished yet.

It's Awesome up to the rear wheel. The engine bay and interior are very nice! Are the tires supposed to be brown?

Re: tribal focus

nice! looks really good unless the brown rear tire and ellipse on the rear wheel.

the hood looks a bit weird to, cant explain why.

Re: tribal focus

yea. i don't know why the back rim looks messed up. i think its because i haven't added the reflections and shadows to it yet. the back tire is brown because i do a layer of a light brown then take a black colored pencil and do a couple of layers over it. i do this so its not all the way black and its got a little color in it. thats the same way i did the front tire. i still need to add some detail to the engine and finish the enterior and rear section of the car. thanks for the comments

Re: tribal focus

The back rim is bothering me. Everything else is excellent.

Re: tribal focus

Awesome. Like everyone else said, the only problem is with the wheels. Just get a set of ellipses, and you'll be fine.

Re: tribal focus

Looks awesome, the rear wheel might just look like that because it's not completed yet. great so far.

Re: tribal focus

I gotta pick me up some markers, welcome back cast, or, hehe, remember clanback ?

Sweet rendering, I have to go get some tools now.
