CV Joint dilemma

Car: 99 SC2

Problem requiring maintenance: Collision with curb at or less than 25mph in rain

Result of collision: Bent Engine cradle (K-frame), Tie rods, strut, camber kit, control arm. Tire popped rim destroyed, Sunroof arms broken, and air bags deployed

Parts replaced stock: Inner and outer Tie Rods, Control arm on side of collision, Engine cradle (K-frame), power steering rack, strut bearing, sway bar.

Parts upgraded: SPS hardened Tapered Roller Bearings, SPS polyurethane bushing set, KYB GR2's all around, 17in Riaxx rims all around, other non related performance parts since we stayed way under budget.

Problem: We installed everything and the unibody is back in position, the alignment is obviously off but we are going to have it aligned at Tires Plus due to their extensive 4wheel alignment equipment. We pulled the car out of our garage and maneuvered it into the street to make it to the end of the street and the CV joint rips out of the boot. We figured it must have been weakened by the accident so we replaced it. This time the car only made it to the driveway and the axel ripped out once again. This time we realized that the tiny ring on the end of the axel was warped. We also noticed that the axel seemed to brake while turning hard. So we fixed that and installed another CV joint. This one lasted about a day however the driver went over a railroad crossing to fast and stated that he heard the axel brake when he hit the ground.

Re: CV Joint dilemma

is this car raised or lowered? check ride height

remember the left and right side CV joints are not the same. the driver's side is longer - http://www.saturnfans.com/photos/sho...p/photo/14954/
