Adding Aftermarket Parts

When you add things like cams, cam gears, headers, and all that good stuff, do you have to tune it?

Re: Adding Aftermarket Parts

alright, but when i get it dyno tuned would I add the part, then drive it w/out a tune to the place to get it tuned or tow it there, or just add it at the place I get it tuned at?

Re: Adding Aftermarket Parts

technically, you dont have to tune it, but itll make more power/run better if you do. if the car can run with the part in then just drive it to the dyno.

Re: Adding Aftermarket Parts

yea its a good idea to tune it when you get internals.. not as much with simple bolt-ons.. i would take it to a trustworthy shop too

Re: Adding Aftermarket Parts

like you were saying, its not as serious as a turbo tune, but it still would be a good idea to get it tuned, its something you can do yourself with like a fpr
