2g pipe in a 1g

I bought a 2g apexi 3" down pipe for 50 bucks from a local dude. The deal sounded good and worst case, i sell it. The question is whether or not anyone thinks the pipe will fit in my 1g awd its for a 2g awd.

Your sig picture is too big, please adjust accordingly I'll be trying the same thing soon, let me know if it works. IF not I Can just cut and reweld, but I would be happy if they are close enough. I'm fairly certain it will not line up with the catback though, I know the angles on that are quite different. So you may be screwed.

Cant believe I missed this thread.

Anyways, the flanges are off/angled differently. If you plan to run a home made bolt up test pipe or a welded up test pipe you will be fine seeing you can rotated the flange as needed. Otherwise you must cut the flange off and weld it back on in the right angle.

This goes the same for GST/GSX downpipes... They are mostly all the same just different angles on the flange to the cat. I have seen a couple that have a different bend but other than that they meet up the same, just need to rotate that flange!

Re: 2g pipe in a 1g

Sorry about the signature just got a camera and got a little trigger happy lol. Thanks for the input though, as you can see i have plenty of work on my hands as is. It will be a while till I break out the welder and the hacksaw. I did a little test fit tonight and it appears that the pipe is longer as well. Side by side the 3" comes to about the middle of the cat but the bends as well as the mounts apear to match up I guess the only problem is that flange then. 2 melted pistons and a cracked turbine housing, gotta love it. Thanx
