removing rear seats

I need to create more cargo room in my 2004 impala. Unfortunately, i don't have the fold down rear seats. Can anyone describe how I would go about removing the rear seats? Thank you in advance for your reply.

James

i removed mine to get to rear speakers. the only tool i used was my 190lb body yanking on rear seats. don't know if there's a tool or not. I know it was hard as hell. when i went to go put it back it didn't fit all the way

Seat removal.

I removed my seats in the same manner as IMP. But had success replaceing it. Kneel on the seat and grab the edge(where the flat cushon meets the back cushon). Feel down in there for a hard spot where the seat is joinned. Add your body wieght to your knees and then pull the edge up towards you. If done correctly it should raise. You will have to do this one more time. (left side, right side). That is it good luck.
