2004 Stereo

I have an 04 SR5 and want to upgrade my speakers. Anyone know how to remove the front and rear door panels to obtain access to the speakers so I can swap them out?

Has anyone done this and what is the complexity. I'm trying to avoid installation costs.

Thanks.

Re: 2004 Stereo

I have a 97 lmt. 4runner that I did all my own installations on. The front door panel speakers were one of the hardest installs because I had to use a lathe to make spacers so the speaker assembly would clear the window when it was rolled down. You might have to do the same, but I have no idea about the new runnas. Good luck and I hope someone else can help you more than myself.

Hey, did you ever find out how to remove the rear door panels? If so I would really like to know how you did it. Thanks!
