MAF connector different on turbo car???
I have an N/A 92 eclipse and i am almost done putting together my turbo kit and i have had an MAF translator for a while and just got around to putting it on and it has a different MAF connector than what i have stock. The connector on the MAFt has 8 pins (only 5 wires) and mine only has 6 pins (6 wires) and so they dont fit. I tried a bunch of junkyards and all the eclipses i found had 6 pin MAF connectors, but i didnt find a turbo eclipse. I found a Galant with a 10 pin connector, but i dont even think it was the MAF connector. So whats the deal, did they send me the wrong translator???

Re: MAF connector different on turbo car???
The 1g turbo, 2g turbo, and 3S cars use the same connector for the MAS (ignition ignitor is the same plug too). So I doubt its the translator.

Re: MAF connector different on turbo car???
Well somebody with a 1g turbo go look at theres an count the pin holes and the number of wires because the reason i bought the thing is because someone on here told me all the MAF or MAS connectors were all the same on the 1gs. If they arent, i guess its time to cut and splice!

Re: MAF connector different on turbo car???
The wiring is probably going to be different even if the physical plugs are the same.
You know the more I think about it the more I think th connectors are different between 1g and 2g. The 2g and 3S are the same though. Maybe its the 1g NT and turbo that are the same, but all different from 2g and 3S. Yeah, thats most likely the case. Cocksucker, I can't remember. I'm getting old...

Re: MAF connector different on turbo car???
So you think the 1g N/A and turbo cars have the same connector. That would make sense because the 1.8 and the 2.0 are the same and they have completely different engine harnesses, so why would they change it for the turbo, right? Well thanks for your help, if someone can go out to there turbo 1g and confirm it for sure i would still very much appreciate it.
