Brain

OK another question for you guys. I am looking for an aftermarket brain for a cavalier. I know on didges they are more or less custom made but I don't really know how to bypass the gov on a 2.2 without screwing anything up. You guys got any information on either subject.

Re: Brain

Tread carefully on the Govenor Issue. Later today CRJ will be in here on you case for that! That's his thing! It forbidden after all!

The ECM can just be flashed if you but a computer program or a PCM flasher and you can change it as often as you want and it's not too expensive, especially when you can charge over GM owners say $50 a pop to do theirs also!

Reacently i have been chatting with Kustmace on AIM about a few issues and the govener was one of them. For about 3 hours out of a few days ago a new sticky was put up saying anyone who posted about the govener would automatically get a 2 week ban. He also posted in the moderators forum about that whole issue and i don't know what went on in there, but he told me that it is ok to discuss that mod. At the time i also told him, i guess it was left up to the discretion of the people who know how to do it. I am one of the few who know how on here and very against this mod but if you can prove to me that you have properly upgraded your car and are hitting more then 107 mph in the traps, PM me and i will tell you how. But i want pics along with time slips. While if you want to never be able to sell your car again and is going to be meant for race... its not my investment. If you also searched a little bit and knew the correct name for it, it can be found quite easy.. But since this is covered in one of the stickys above.( how to make your car faster)... continue this in there... Searching before you post is one of the rules in here as well...

Re: Brain

Like CRJ said, there has been a lot of discussion about that mod, and it was deemed acceptable to discuss it. Therefore discuss it all you want, but multiple threads regarding it will be locked. Do a search before asking about it.

Also, it is up to the poster's discretion to post how to do it, so dont get mad if someone wont give it to you.

If you are using your vehicle for "off road use only" I have no problem with removal or alteration of the speed limiter.
Hell I know how to do it, it ain't that hard if you know what you are doing..and my way is a lot less than a programmer
But since I don't know you and don't know if you will be driving on the street, its my little secret

But if you all start flaming each other..I'll lock it down if KustmAce doesn't

Re: Brain

A breakthrough. It's now up to us if we post an answer. Although GMMerlin you kinda let slip in that post!! Whoops. Anyhow I don't think it should be disclosed as it is kinda stupid incase the person that removes and then loses control and mudalises a bunch of people can say you told 'em to do it. It's not worth the hassle!

I have been quiet and reading all the discussion on this topic in past posts - I believe it should be discussed within 1 thread... I hate reading like 2 posts a week about it. I don't know how to remove it, however it would be a nice piece of knowledge to know how, even though I never would do it because I dont even exceed 95 MPH in the quarter mile and my limiter is at 107. Overall.... we should keep all discussion in 1 thread... and if someone out there is willing to share the info, they should keep it in that thread. Just a 17 year old opinion.

Re: Brain

The guy also originally asked about a new 'Brain' as he put it. nobody has seemed to tackle this in here just been going on about the speed limiter whereas this was only part of the post. Well what do ytou have to say for yourselves?

Re: Brain

Jet chips and anything concerning that crap is a piece of shit... enough said... If your looking into tuning your fuel management... APEXI SFAC II . But since your not running boost, you really don't need that.

Re: Brain

i was actually talking about putting in a new brain all together. if it was easy enough to just take out the gov. that would be nice too but most people who know don't want to tell me. the whole point of this was to get that edge with a new brain. there is a few out there that you can program on the computer and that would be cool. who knows though huh.
