I have a 2000 mercury grand marquis, when the car exceeds 55 mph i hear a loud vibration. It seems to be in the dahsboard drivers side, possibly the odometer. It is very frustrating, anyone have a clue?

Re: 2000 grand marquis dash board noise
It could be the wind vibrating something outside; check all the trim and plastic parts for tightness.
Does it go away at higher speeds or persist?

something similar
I was getting some minor noise similar to what you described in my own marguis. After a while I just ingored it, and it didn't seem to bother anything. One day I got in my car and pulled the handle to close the door. One side of the handle came loose from the interior of driver's side door. Apparently, the sheet metal screws which hold on the door handles tend to come loose over time. I put the screw back in and tightened all the other screws and the noise went away.
