Went camping, the park got OWNED by us!!

I went camping with 5 mates (making 6 total) almost 3 hours south of sydney to a coast place called "Ulladulla". It's on the coast, so it's right on the beach, a beautiful area, and a fantastic drive.

The cost is $15 per head, per night, so it cost me $75 bucks till friday, we paid cash, total of $450 for the 6 of us.

Anyway, we went shopping (for booze) and we met these other guys, they lived about 1.5 hours north of there, 1.5 south of sydney at a palce called Dapto.

They were awesome, bloody champs, we hanged with them for a few hours, got maggotted and high together, awesome.

Our group were all in bed at 12:30am we were so drunk.

At 9:15 the next morning, two blokes came over, told us we had till 10am to get out, or we don't get a refund.

wtf mate?

So we went over to complain and ask why, they said we are kicked out, end of story.
The place is council owned, so they have to do the refund by cheque, which will take 2 weeks because it has to go through the council, and to top it off, they fined us 15 bucks each (double night charged us, in other words) for "grief cause to other campers".

Me, and two mates went to the main desk office thing, and we asked about it, and that it's inconfienient to us because we've given them $450 of our money, in cash, how are we going to pay for other accomodation?

She said "You should of thought about that before acting like dickheads".
As soon as she abused us by calling us "dickheads", I exploded, and started being a prick, saying how the security they hire are lying assholes, I demanded the security report, it read "noise at inapporopriate hours from this vercinity", no specifics, no nothing, and I told her the security gave us NO warning what so ever, and because of that, they've broken the law, she freaked out, and said "no, we can do what we want" (no they can't).

Right next to the main desk was a "code of ethics", and number 3 on the list was "act honestly", so I pointed to that, and said "what's this act honestly bullshit? as far as I'm concerned, everything here is a load of bullshit, we were ALL in bed by 12:30 in the morning, and did not make any of these accusations", at which point some guy walked in who heard us, and said "you were up till 4 am", I said "it wasn't us", they both said "yes it was!" I said "LISTEN ASSHOLE, IT WASN'T US YOU IGNORANT ASSHOLE", at which point we ran out and told her to stick it up their asses.


We contacted the Department of Fair Trades, and told them our situation, and guess what we found out:

1. It's illegal for them to fine us.

2. It's illegal for them to pay us our refund in any other form other than the manner in which we paid them, and in full.

3. It's illegal for security to act without warning the people involved. In other words, by law, the security have to warn us, and tell us to shut up, THEN, and ONLY THEN can they act on us if we don't do as they are told.

4. It's illegal for them to act as a public Council Owned park without legal binding documents signed by each person over the age of 18 in the "group" under the name of the person the residence is up. That means, when we paid our money, we had to sign a contract binding ourself to the parks rules, WE DIDN'T. We didn't sign ANY contract, and Dean, our mate who organised the entire thing didn't sign any papers, and he had to ASK for the recipt. So they are operating illegally.

5. By law, if they want to kick us out, they, BY LAW, have to have two nights recorded of us breaking their rules, they didn't even have ONE night PROOF that we did.

The other guys we met, WERE up till 4am, they got kicked out as well, but they were leaving that day anyway, and they did NOT get fined, the only reason we did was because they knew they had our money!!!

Because we were teenages, they automaticaly grouped us into their group, combined it, and just kicked everyone out. Which is illegal.

Here's the fucked up part; the security guy, who claimed we were up till 4am, was caught at 12:50 by Mat (he went for a piss) looking at our cars, and getting our licence plate numbers, Mat asked him "wtf mate, are you ok?", the security guard (who was illegally dressed - i.e. not in iniform) said "yeah mate, just looking for a ball that bounced over here". How do we know it was a security guard? cause we were talking to the fucker early, we walked passed about 7pm when it was still light, in uniform, and mat saw his face at 12:40am.




So, the Department of Fair Trades (government operated) is sueing them for opperating illegally, age discrimination, and a whole bunch of crazy shit. I may have to appear in court as a witness.

OWNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are getting a FULL refund, and hopefully some $$$ for fuel, and other accomodation, we had to drive for over 200km more finding another place to stay (which in the end run, worked out way better than that shit place).

Also, that is completely unprofessional to call someone, no matter their age, 'dickheads'. If and when you do appear in court, give 'em everything you got.

The Dept. have too much juice on them, so it's a matter of when the win, not if.

If they win, the park might be shut down, which is fine by me, they were arrogant assholes who really gave us a bad time, so we're giving them a bad name.


The place we ended up staying at, was only $8 a night, and kicked major ass

we stayed up all night, got drunk, and made noise till 4am, and the nearest camper was like, over 200m away, the place was huge, and it was empty.

I had to come home two days early because a few things that didn't go acording to plan, didn't allow me to stay, the other guys, plus 3 other mates are still down there, coming back today sometime.
