Re: 2002 SE 6 spd Problems
my tranny is a little notchy but i don't have a real problem with grinding, somtimes it's just a little tricky to get it in gear. i hear a lot of complaints about it from maxima owners. it's not too terrible for me yet but i have a feeling i may need to have new synchros put in for my 2nd and 4th gears in the future. it's almost OK for me cuz i need a reason to have the tranny pulled so i can have a limtied slip put in.

Re: 2002 SE 6 spd Problems
Yup, my car grinds into 3rd during hard shifting no matter what. Not bad grinding, but it makes a little noise and puts up a little resitance. I've heard that amsoil tranny gear helps smooth out the shifts.

Re: 2002 SE 6 spd Problems
Thanks for the feedback. Nissan has recently replaced 2nd, 3rd, & disc under warranty. After this was done, 2nd gear is impossible to put into gear after the car sits over night. All gears have been grinding since but has been much better since I've put on a few thousand miles. Our tranny's have two cables instead of a direct shift as in the 01 5 spds & older. I've had about five Nissan sticks, this one sucks
