Latest Project: 64 Impala Pro-tour Styles

My Enzo that I started several months ago is now on the back burner when it decided to not co-operate during final assembly, so i started something new tonight.

All that I have completed is basic motor assembly and the rough debadging of the body. This won't be a true pro-tourer (sp?) as i do not have a spare EFI V8 kicking around.

This is also going to be my first attempt at wiring a motor, so if someone could be so kind as to tell me the approximate location where the plug wires enter the head I would be most gratefull.

This is about the ride height it is going to sit at and the wheels that I will be using.

Thanks for looking and any and all comments are welcome,

mike.

Oh, as for colour it will be getting a silver base coat and a transparent yellow top-coat.

awesome. can't wait to see more. it doesn't have to be EFI to be pro touring. its all about the stance and such. pro-touring is more closely related to the g-machine anyway. a vehicle capable of holding 1 g in the skid pad.

Looks like a nice project.

The plugs on a small block chevy are between the head bolts (see pic)

It will be refreshing to see a non-lifted '64!

OK, so I've been sitting for about an hour now with the body in hand...do I remove the chrome strips running the length of the body or no?

I hit it with my rotary tool to remove the bulk of it, and then sanded it smooth by hand.
