[97taurus]

My 97 taurus shows code p1744 (torque lock solenoid) on computer. The car runs good no slipping and shifts ok. Sometimes service light goes out. Any suggestions on fixing problem before it gets worse? I put a rebuilt tranny in a year ago trying to avoid it again. thanks for any help

Uhm by your time and save your money your tranny is going out. My car got the 2-3 shift seloinad performance code and now barely moves. I would find out where you got the rebuilt because they prob did not replace the solenoid. you can reach in and replace this for about 1000 at a shop but prob all are bad or soon will be and there are 4 of them at around 75 a piece plus labor.
