timing belt

is there a way to check the timming belt besides taking it apart the motor? the gear inside motor block dosnt move when i try to start it up is this telling me something

maybe you could give us a bit more info. Are you getting spark? what have you tested etc... Checking the timing belt is not the easiest procedure.
