Question Why modify a concorde?

I have a 1999 Concorde LXI and I just can't imagine wanting to change this car. These cars with the Mercedes engineered 3.2 engine is so strong, smoothe and the interiors- well they have thought of just about everything. (Except how to get to the battery). The car is a delight to drive although it does have a firmer ride than my cadillacs
have had. Perhaps thats because of the 60 ratio 16 inch tires. Also, usually the top of the line tires seem to be a bit stiff as compared to the cheaper tires which seem to be a softer ride but wear out sooner.
I believe that I have every option offered on this car. The headlight delay is not quite up to the twilight sentinal that Cadillac uses. And then I do not any power ride leveling, nor heated seats on my car. Were these options available? Also, I'd like to know capacity of cooling system on the 3.2L engine. I also can't understand why the manual often say to remove battery neg terminal when the battery is so difficult to get to! I had considered another concours but those northstar engines sometimes develop a leaky rear main seal which cost about 2,000 to replace because you have to pull engine to fix and the struts well, thats about a grand each if one of them goes bad.
The exhaust on the LXI looks like you'd need to drive a brinks truck to put a new one on. Not looking forward to that time. well, I'll be watching for tips on keeping my car in A-1 shape from all you Concorde owners.

The 3.2 engine is actually an all Chrysler design and not Mercedes, it is based on the 3.5 (214 HP) Cast Iron Block engine used in the 93-97 model years that was optional in Intrepids, Concordes, and Eagle Visions and was a standard engine on the New Yorker, LHS, and Plymouth Prowler. In 1998 they introduced the Aluminum Block version as a 3.2 High Output (225 HP) which was available until 2002 for the Concorde. There is also an Aluminum Block 3.5 High Output (A bored out 3.2, 253 HP) introduced in 1999 but was only available in the 300M, LHS and the Plymouth Prowler. Concordes got the 3.5 HO option in 2 different levels of power (234 & 250 HP) from 2002 to the end of their production in 2004.

Power ride leveling is not an factory option, but heated seats are. I have them on my LHS.
