Intermittent Start
I have a 1997 Saturn SL with about 70,000 miles
Occassionaly when I go to start the car, I hear only a click and then silence. When this happens the clock on my radio changes time and the saved station settings all disappear. If I wait a few moments and try again it sometimes starts right up with no hesitation at all. I know this sounds strange, but I can also rock the car and when I turn the ignition it starts right up. I found that the water was a little low in the battery and I filled it back up but the problem still exists. Any ideas on what else it can be? |

Re: Intermittent Start
sounds like you got a serious short that's not fused to me, like the line form the battery to the starter or something.

Re: Intermittent Start
i would say first check how tight your connections are. i had the same thing happen to me a little while ago and i would have it jump started... then one time when i was putting on the power side on my car my radar detector and capacitor turned on and i was like wow... its just a loose connection... i felt pretty dumb
