'92 2WD Rear End

Did any '92 XJs come with a posi trac rearend? If so how can you identify it?

I am the proud owner of a '92 myself and i have looked around for that possibility and have not found any posi-trac or limited slip as of yet. you can identify the rear end from the stamp on the back right side of the diff cover... will have dana 44, etc stamped in it, also manufacture date and other #'s

some with the 8.25 had a limited slip.

depending on what you want to do, either I can help you myself or know someone who can usually avoid the need for a shop. Email me your number and we can talk more about it later. One great thing is that you have access to any of the auto craft shops on bases around town. I still have access as well. Hope you are enjoying this warm weather, supposed to snow wed-sat.
