riced out civic meets a dodge srt 10 truck

last night i saw something awesome.
i heard it behind me... it was the new dodge srt 10 pickup truck... one of the fastest trucks on the market stock. it was stock too...
i was like "man... that's one nice... truck"

behind me this blue civic with body kit and exaust swirves in and out of traffic. i want to laugh... but i don't. he pulls up at the light in front of the hospital on airport, the civic is in the right lane, i'm in the left, and he's in the center. the civic starts revving.
the guy in the truck is like
i'm like
he revvs back... my GOD that sounds awesome.
i go "man, that's a nice truck"
he goes "yea, i like it"
the civic guy keeps revving. no cops (for once)
light goes green.... the guy in the srt 10 guns it.. the civic does too... i go "what the hell" and give it some gas to just watch.
the guy had no chance lol. the civic gave up at 40mph... when the truck was lengths ahead... he waited at the next light, and the civic turns. I'm like "maaan, i want one of those"
he goes "yea, i'd rather get the viper, but my lady wants a truck."
i went "well i gotta turn man, good kill"
he goes "no, it wasn't a kill... that was more so an annialation" he laughs and goes ahead.

wow.
just wow. i knew they were fast.. but damn. they are FAST.

Hell yeah, always love a lil rice for dinner I've only met up with one SRT-10 on the road, it was on the turnpike too, but he didn't want to run, said he had just bought it and had less than 100 miles on it. One of these days I'll get to run one and show 'em what their lil brother can do

lol, nicely written story here

I would love to see a dodge srt 10 pick up truck in action but I know that will never happen unless I come over the ocean. They aren't very famous in my country, hell even not in Europe i think. And i bet they cost a fortune too.

Ciao

Re: riced out civic meets a dodge srt 10 truck

well i don't blame him... those trucks are just amazing. 157 is awesome in a truck.
especially right off the line.

imagine what some tuning could accomplish in those things

Re: riced out civic meets a dodge srt 10 truck

I'd be scared shitless going that fast in one of those, I've maxed out the 4Runner at 110 and that was scary as hell.... imagine it even higher and faster . 140 feels like nothing in the 3000GT though (cept the fact that the moon roof gets sucked up and makes a hell of a scary noise even with the vents closed).

Re: riced out civic meets a dodge srt 10 truck

If my dad were looking for a truck now instead of a year ago, I'm pretty sure he would have been sold on getting one. However, he ended up just getting the regular Hemi instead. Oh well, just another toy for me to wish I had.

well i like the srt 10's but i also like the lightning. if i had 2 pick 1 ill pick the lightning. i also read somewhere that the lighting hits 147 stock and the ram around 154. and the lightning is cheaper and it will cost less 2 fix up the lightning. and it would be expensive to fix the ram. i dont want to start a war here but i like more then lightning.

I'll second that and say I'd rather have a lightning as well.
Anyway, I know a guy whose dad build's drag cars for a living. His dad has a friend that has a Barracuda with a big block (forget what size and I don't know what sizes they came in, 454 sticks out though).

The guy said he was driving his Barracuda down the road at 70 m.p.h. when a SRT-10 truck pulls up to him. He said they both hit it and the guy didn't let off the gas until his engine was wrapped all the way out. He had his foot all the way to the floor, the engine red lining, and he looked down and was doing 140. He said the the SRT-10 was several car lengths behind him. He added that it really didn't stay with him and just slowly got farther and farther back as he was building speed from the start of the race.

The guy I know said this dude's Barracuda has been spiced up a little bit but nothing real major. Personally, I find it very hard to believe this story but I thought I'd share it.

Re: riced out civic meets a dodge srt 10 truck

It was probably a 440, and yes believe it. Tuned up and built 440's are beast. Monsters of motors, sorta like the 455 is with buick, just an all out monster.

But yes, no more lightnings until 2008. SVT is only bringing out one ride a year. Mustang is 2006, focus is 2007, and then the lightning. Ill be glad when SVT gets ahold of the ranger and drops a bad ass v8 into that one :bigthumb.

One of the fastest? ney, the fastest truck to date! track tested, mother approved. the SRT-10 also has the highest top speed ever recorded on a truck.158 mph.
