litronic lights

Anyone have any experience with the litronic headlamps? I had one go out on my '99 and the cheapest I could find the bulb was $361. And then, the headlamp blew out the replacement bulb immediately - which means I may have a different problem.

Looking for info on: 1. A cheaper substitute for the bulb. 2. Some guidance on what may be causing the lamp to fail.

your ignitor might be failing. big high voltage box mounted on the back of the headlight assembly.
