1998 Bonne Fuel/Electrical problem

Car has been great till recently. It died out of the blue, would not start for a while. Then started up, and ran for a day, then died and would not start again, or if it did, for only a minute or two.

Mechanic put fuel pump on it. Drove it a few blocks, died. Another fuel pump. Drove it a day, died. Another fuel pump. Drove it a couple of days, died. Found frayed wires connecting to the fuel pump, repaired. Drove for 2 1/2 weeks, died. Replaced control box. Drove for 20 minutes, died.
