Engine Replacement

I have (2) 1992 Taurus with 3.0 V-6. I am fixing to pull the motor out of one and put in the other, leaving the transmission intact. I have changed a few rear-wheel drive engines. I need to know if there is anything to be aware of, especially separating the transmission from the engine. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Engine Replacement

I have read detailed information in a Chilton manual sold in Pep Boys, or similar store, concerning your question. Can usually look without buying.

I heard it's easier to unmount the entire front end assembly, and raise the entire car. I own a Taurus and a Ranger. I've rebuilt my engine in my Ranger, but this Taurus is frightning. So much crap, I can't believe it. I could be mistaken though, I've only worked on rear wheel drive as well.
