what mite be clicking?
i have a 98 civic ex and when i start up the car and let off the clutch i hear a clicking when i press the clutch in the ticking goes away. what mite this b?

if its from your clutch it could be your throw out bering going out. I had this problem on an older civic and when we took the transmission off we actully found parts of the clutch had broken off and was stuck behind the pressure plate which ment the noise would only be herd when the clutch was pressed down. Either way you might have to take off the tranny and just to be safe replace the throwout bering and clutch and pressure plate
